McCain in Good Spirits as the Election Draws Near
Posted by Alyson Rossetti at 11/03/2008 02:25:00 AMThe New York Times reports that McCain is in good spirits as Election Day is right around the corner. I think it's hard to believe that Nov. 4th is in less than two days, and the semester is almost over. McCain has been on the campaign trail for nearly two years now and it has in fact been filled with a number of ups and downs. McCain was reported to be cracking jokes in the back of his campaign bus, and has freed himself from the cranky republican presidential candidate that existed a month ago. I believe he has the best attitude when it comes to Tuesday by just having a good time. McCain is relieved that the campaign is near over and everything in not in his hand anymore- it is in the hands of the voters. McCain also make a point that he knows he is behind in the poles, but "has written [that] off " because, as stated before, it is out of his hands. No matter what happens on Tuesday, McCain's assistants claim, "he is too much a student of history not to be astonished and humbled by his own place in it."
