Absentee Ballot

Trying to get an absentee ballot has to be one of the most annoying things to do. I already have an extremely busy life with classes and clubs. Adding the hassle of getting an absentee ballot is just one too many things on my plate. It just makes me want to keep pushing it to the side because it isn't a must-do-now task. I would actually rather drive four hours home to vote than worry with getting that ballot. If it wasn't for having to go to classes today I probably would have gone home.

I know I'm not the only student who feels this way. A friend of mine decided that he actually would drive home to vote. Lucky for him, he only lives two hours away. Another one of my friends isn't even voting because she put off getting a ballot too long and now can't get one to vote. She considered driving home, but decided not to because she lives on the coast and didn't want to miss her classes. After complaining for a few minutes she actually came up with a pretty good idea. She thought it would be a good idea for schools to close on the election day so students could go home and vote if they wanted to.
