The village of Dixville Notch in New Hampshire has 75 residents. This little village has opened its polls shortly after midnight on Election Day since 1960. It always draws attention because it is the first place in the U.S. to let its presidential preferences known every election day and this year Obama won 15 out of the 21 votes cast with McCain only having 6 ballots cast in support of him. The most amazing part of all of this is the residents of Dixville Notch have not leaned Democratic in an election since 1968. Could this be the start of a trend? Could we see tonight as the returns come in that many places are turning blue as well? Tonights television just might be the most interesting thing we will see all year.
