Just got done watching the Memphis news, and I think today it hit me as to the importance of what is about to go down in our town.   I sometimes forget that 46 years ago students were rioting to keep James Meredith out of our University, and now Obama is going to be addressing the nation and the entire world from the Ford Center.   It is amazing not only how far Ole Miss has come, but how much our country has grown as a whole.  We have a women on the ticket, which is equally historical, and is another piece of evidence to show how far we have come.  I am so excited that things are finally starting to come together for our campus and the debate.  While driving around campus tonight, I could feel it in the air.  This is going to be a big week and one that I nor anyone else will ever forget!
