The Next President

After reading the article by Richard Holbrooke, I get the notion that he prefers Obama over McCain. He does a good job of explaining the issues that the administration will face in the upcoming future, but makes Obama’s ideas sound better that McCain. I think with McCain being part of Bush’s administration, that a lot of his ideas and policies are similar and that we indeed are in need of change. The global warming affects are drastically going to get worse and we have to come together to solve the problem. I agree with Obama’s techniques of concentrating more on bilateral agreements and climate change friendly technology. I’m glad that he is even paying attention to it, seeing as Bush did not have time to. I do not agree with McCain’s idea of keeping troops in Iraq and leaving them there for quite some time. Holbrooke and Obama are right; we need to force them to make their own decisions. The Bush administration didn’t get anything done by being over seas and there needs to be a means of an end to this war. Obama has very drastic policies for helping, changing, improving America, and I think that we need him, with the help of his whole administration, to fix our country and get us out of this economic depression.
