Speaking of the rapidly approaching election, I just ran across an article that caught my eye on CNN.com. In what I perceive to be a last ditch effort at good publicity, Cindy McCain has belatedly taken a stance against the negative media coverage surrounding Sarah Palin. I would think that as a fellow woman thrust into the limelight, Cindy would have commented earlier, especially considering McCain's longtime lagging polls. Also, I don't know how much her words will aid the campaign, taking into account the glaring fact that almost everyone who is supportive of Cindy McCain is, by default, supportive of Palin also. However, I am always happy to see one woman defending another in a world that is still surprisingly sexist at times. Also, since I am a McCain supporter, I do hold out hope that Cindy's comments will somehow help McCain's cause.
