Believe it or not, the outcome of the last Washington Redskins home game before the election has chosen the presidential nominee correctly the last 17 times. What does that mean for tonight's game? If the Redskins win, then John McCain will win the election, and if the Steelers win then Barack Obama will win.

Interestingly enough, the Redskins came out to a fast start before a blocked punt put the Steelers in position to score the game's only touchdown just before the half.

At half time of the game, ESPN featured interviews with both McCain and Obama, led by Chris Berman.

Obama's comments (paraphrased):
- There should be a college football playoff.
- "I haven't gotten too high when things are going well, and I haven't gotten too low when things are going poorly."

McCain's comments (paraphrased):
- "You always have to do the honorable thing, even when no one's looking."
- When asked what people should think when they get to the polls and see McCain's name, McCain responded, "I want them to think 'He could.....go...all...the....way.'"
- McCain also said, on his thoughts of his home state's Arizona Cardinals, "Hope springs eternal in the human breast."

If your superstitious then you should probably turn this game on.........
