The presidential election is in two days and the suspense is nipping at me. President Bush has been in office since I was 14, so it's pretty cool that I'm able to vote for our country's next president. On the other hand, I wanted to blog about daylight saving time. DST is a weird thing. This week, my friend's rooomate told her that Arizona doesn't observe DST. Well we automatically said she was wrong and had to be mistaken. However, she was right. Since 1967, Arizona has not observed DST.
William Willett, the dubbed inventor of DST, said daylight was being wasted and that affected work, recreational activities, crime, businesses, etc. Most of the United States observes DST, but Florida, Michigan, Nevada, and Indiana are all opposed to the idea.
