So, I would have to say that in my personal opinion, Sarah Palin handed Joe Biden his own butt on a platter tonight during the debate. It is interesting, because I have vacillated so much over this election simply because a) I do not feel that either candidate is the ideal representation of what our President should be and b) they both have stances that I wholeheartedly agree with, and stances that I am extremely opposed to. I have been leaning towards McCain lately, the deal-breaker being that Obama's views on taxation do not bode well at all for my family, and therefore myself. More importantly, I do not believe that his plan will give those less fortunate than myself great enough benefits that would make it worth it to charge us almost .50 cents to the dollar. In my rough calculations, his tax breaks for the poor would only save them around 18 to 25 dollars on taxes. I could be wrong, but if I am correct, I cannot abide by that disconcern for upper-middle-class America. On that note, I feel that Sarah Palin represented herself and John McCain beautifully tonight, and made me feel that siding with the Republicans for the very first time in my admittedly short life might be the right decision after all.
