Battleground states

It's 18 days until the election and it still looks like it could go either way. In an article that I had read earlier this week online concerning the election stated that Obama sees potential in red states such as Virginia and North Carolina. McCain is looking to target blue states like Pennsylvania and Michigan. Both Obama and McCain see openings in states won by the opposing party in previous cycles. For senator Obama demographic changes have made red states such as Virginia, Colorado and North Carolina very competitive.  Obama's poor primary showing among some traditional democratic states such as Pennsylvania and Michigan has created an opening for McCain. Depending on which candidate wins these battleground states I believe the election could go any way. I think when we know which battleground states have been won we will then have a better knowing of where the election is going to be heading.
