Wow... It is going to take a lot to top this year's presidential election. There have been so many different twist in this election. Just when I thought that I knew everything that was going on something new came up.

I can remember when I found out who the candidates were going to be for this year's election I was completely shocked. I knew that this election was for sure going to be very interesting and have a lot of media coverage especially for the Democratic party. Hilary and Obama both came in with full force and took over the media coverage. Both also seemed to catch the public's eye.

To me it really wasn't too much of the shock when Obama won the Democratic nomination. He is just so charismatic and the public seemed to love him. I could tell that even though both Hilary and him stood for change, he stood out more than she did.

Next next big shock I really had was when McCain picked Sarah Palin for his vice president candidate. Now, that was a shock! I had no clue that was coming. I did not realize that McCain would take such a risk as to pick a woman for his VP spot. Though I have to say it has done him so much good. Not only has she helped him get in the media spotlight with her aggressiveness and statements such as the pit bull with lipstick statement, but she seems to have also helped his self confidence.

Hopefully with the debates coming soon we will be able to continue to have more surprises. But even if we don't, this election will still always be remembered for years to come.
