Time of My Life

Last Friday's debate was one the best experiences of my life. I worked as an intern for NBC and I thank them very much for the oppurtuity. I started off hauling equiptment to the Ford center. This gave me an oppurtunity to see the inside; I wasn't one of the lucky few to recieve a ticket. I worked with two union guys, the Lopez brothers, who taught me that NBC really stood for Nephews Brothers and Cousins. It was tough work bringing all the light fixtures and sound equiptment, but the guys cracking jokes really seemed to make the day fly by. The next day I went to the grove for Rock the Debate, where I saw issue alley. The most memorable thing I saw there was two gentlemen carrying a sign that said "Rednecks For Obama"; I had to take a picture. After parousing the grove I reported for work or lack there of. I wasn't extremely busy at NBC, because it seemed the other interns were getting the brunt of the work. This was fine by me, it gave me a chance to take it all in. I got a picture with Brian Williams, shook hands with Tom Brokaw and saw Senators John Kerry and Bill Richards walking around my campus! What an awesome weekend. My thanks to Chancellor Khayat, Govener Haley Barbour, and the highly esteemed Dr. Husni.
