Gender Issue?

Another question that is being asked is whether Palin can handle the responsibility of a Down syndrome child and also support her pregnant daughter and her new baby?  McCain knew about her family situation before choosing Palin as his running mate.  He needs someone strong by his side if he makes it the entire way.  I have full confidence that McCain is smart enough to make sure his VP can deliver a complete package.

As for McCain’s serious case of melanoma, there is a possibility he may not be able to complete his four-year term of Presidency.  Hopefully not, but possibly, and he knows that.  If McCain, a man of wisdom and experience, has confidence Palin would be able to run the country as president, then I have confidence that she would make a great VP.

When Arnold Schwarzenegger was running for governor of California I don't recall the public questioning whether he could be governor and be a father to his four children.  That question never seemed to come up when it was dealing with a man.  But now, that a woman, a mother of five children, is running for political office, the Vice Presidency, the public is questioning whether she can be both a mother and a public official.   I know running for VP and governor are different but California is a huge state with many people with many problems as well.

Could this possibly be a gender issue we are dealing with?
