CBSNews.com has an interesting section on their site called Where They Stand, which analyzes the candidates' stance on different campaign issues. One interesting read was about McCain and Obama's tax plans and how they would affect three Ohio families in different tax brackets.

The first family made roughly $32,000 last year. After crunching some numbers, analysts found McCain's plan would not impact them at all but Obama's plan would help them out by giving them about $2,200 of tax refunds.

The second family brought in $213,000 last year. Obama's plan would raise their taxes, but the story failed to mention the impact of McCain's plan.

The last family earned $64,000 last year, and they are left with a $225 tax cut under McCain and a $500 tax cut under Obama.

Do we really want more of the same, meaning no relief for middle class and low-income families? Maybe the money will just "trickle down" eventually? It's not likely with the economy's current state. The country cannot afford to spend billions each month on a war and continue giving tax cuts to families making more than $250,000 a year. It just doesn't make sense.
