Behind Every Woman...

As I follow the candidates in the news and online, I am struck by those who are closest to the candidates, their family. The most interesting family member to me is Todd Palin. I wonder how he is reacting to being a potential "first man". In the past, we have obviously never had a president or vice president who was a woman. When Hilary Clinton stepped on the scene and later began campaigning to be the Democratic nominee, many eyes were turned towards Bill Clinton. Now, with Sarah Palin running as vice president, there has been lots of media attention focused on Todd Palin. I feel like he is one of a kind. He has not been in the national spotlight before, like President Clinton. Mr. Palin has been portrayed as a sportsman and a blue-collar family man. Many times, I see news coverage of him walking aroung his home in Alaska is sweats, and I really like that about him. In this day and age, every politician is trying to tell the voters they are "real" and they are "just like you". Mostly, this is a lie, so when I come across someone I feel is truly a real person, my attention stays focused on them. So during this election, I am keeping my eye on Mr. Palin. And you know what they say, behing every good woman...
