While watching coverage of the convention tonight, I was surprised at the reluctance of Senator Clinton's supporters to move their loyalties to Senator Obama's camp. The controversy surrounding the delegates surely proved that the democratic party is not completely united behind Obama.
Although none can doubt Clinton's speech did much to reiterate in the minds of her delegates that their support is of great importance to Obama, the anger her supporters felt was truly emanating from the television screen (the Hillary signs and multiple minutes of yelling her name, for example).
Perhaps Clinton's supporters will be able to forget the insult they feel they have received from the democratic party, and the entire group will eventually be able to unite behind Obama before November.
But, it makes a voter wonder, can a party divided really conquer??
