I know this is a time sensitive matter, and I would like to first say that I am sympathetic to all those who are, and may become affected/effected by the catastrophic Hurricane Gustav.
Nearing the 3rd anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, it is sad to see that those of the coastal lines and Mississippi and Louisiana population are faced with yet another Hurricane, predicted of the same multitude. As a political science buff, I am about 90% positive that if these predictions do occur, we are definitely looking at the Democratic Party to take this election by a landslide. The Republican party are trying their best, to stray away the Bush's image; but if this Hurricane persists, ALL that the people will be left with is Bush's image as the Republican figure, and how he let the south down in NOT responding to the castastrophe accordingly, appropriately, and quickly. No one wants to go through that again!!

I highly agree with you. I was living in Brookhaven at the time. We we're lucky, Our power was only out for 2 weeks and we only had to wait in hour long gas lines. using a generator for power, I can still remember the horrible images of the MS coastline and New Orleans tattered, torn and people fighting to survive. All I could think was "Where is our government now, when we need them the most!" Bush did a poor job indeed.
