I've noticed that a lot of the recent posts have been in regards to John McCain's surprising but extremely intriguing choice of a running mate in the FEMALE governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. I know I can definitely attest to feeling the extreme shock factor, as you probably could have knocked me over with a feather when I heard the news. Up until this point, I have pretty much considered Obama and Co.'s adage "McCain More Of The Same" to be true, for all practical purposes. However, in his daring and unpredictable choice of a running mate, McCain could not have chosen a more ingenious strategy in breathing life into a campaign that I feel was on it's last leg. While it disappoints me that Palin has such strong views against a woman's right to choose, I still really appreciate the fact, as someone who was completely Team Hillary, McCain's efforts to reach out to the men and women of America that wholeheartedly believe a woman can do anything a man can, sometimes more. Also, I feel that Palin's youth and vitality will lend a hand in McCain, who is definitely no spring chicken, seeing things through young America's eyes. I applaud McCain's pluck, and have a newfound respect for him as our potential President.
