Sen. McCain's decision to choose Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska came completely out of left field. If he is attempting to get the vote from the women, he is barking up the wrong tree. First of all Palin is currently serving her FIRST term as Governor of Alaska. One of McCain's biggest themes is that Obama isn't experienced enough. Well McCain, if experience to you is just 2 short years as Mayor of Alaska then you picked the right person to help you run this country. I will say she has an extensive background in energy and oil which we severely need. But she wants to drill in the Alaskan Wildlife refuge, which McCain opposes. On July 31st she was asked by CNBC if she was chosen to run for VP would she take the position. She couldn't answer the question. On another interview with CNN her answer to the same question was no. What happens if McCain for some reason can't fulfill his duties as President? Can Sarah Palin really run our country? What qualifies her on foreign affair? What does she know about the Middle East? She's the governor of Alaska. A state whose population is 670,000 people. But her real experience comes from being the Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska- population: about 8,000.

How can McCain think he is going to get Hillary's supporters? Palin is extremely conservative. She is a member of the NRA. She's a reformner. She is Pro-Life. She's not exactly all about women's rights and she is Republican. Hate to break it to you, but Hillary is a Democrat and her supporters are not going to change all of their views on life just because Palin is a woman. Hillary's whole message was women's rights.
