Willing Volunteers

I was reading an article earlier today that talked about dedicated supporters of Sen. Obama in North Carolina. These supporters had helped many African Americans register to vote. Today, they banded together to get these people to the poll to cast their votes. 4,900 loyal supporters gave up their time and gas to drive African Americans to and from polling locations today so that they could have a voice in this historic election. According to the article on latimes.com, several of the people who were given rides voted for Sen. Obama because of the kindness shown to them. I guess it goes back to the old saying "actions speak louder than words."
