The past two elections have been the closest elections in our history. Infact the Gore/Bush election was so close the ultimate winner had to be determined by the Supreme Court. This certainly indicates that the electorate is evenly divided between the republicans and democrats.

Assuming the democrats vote for the democratic nominee and the Republicans vote for the Republican nominee…the independents are left to be the deciding factor of who will win this election.

People don’t identify completely with the beliefs with either party. So they don’t vote bipartisan they vote for the individual.

I believe in future elections you will see more independents, they are quickly becoming a vital part of the election.
