With all the buzz surrounding the candidates, their exploits and the upcoming election the media has brushed Joe Biden under the rug. I feel Joe Biden is the safe running mate for the Republican party and Obama in particular. Recently many questions have been raised about the presidential and vice presidential candidates ranging from terrorist ties to SNL skits. The one question that has yet to be asked or answered is who is Joe Biden. We know Joe Biden is a Democratic Senator from Delaware, thats about it. I did a little research and looked into his past voting records. While looking through Biden's voting records I found that he shares many views with his running mate Barack Obama. Both men voted yes for the recent Bail-Out plan, both men voted yes in an equal pay bill earlier in the year, and both men voted against increasing spending for border security. With all the media hype surrounding the election a man like Joe Biden may be the difference between winning the losing this election. I say this because Biden is consistent, fairly well spoken, and flies under the radar on issues that do not pertain to this election. On the other hand we have Sarah Palin who has flooded our T.V. and computer screens for all the wrong reasons. SNL skits, her daughter's recent baby, constant sound bites and web-clips. All this media exposure surrounding Sarah Palin as an Alaskan "pitbull" weather she is on SNL or with Katie Couric some of these clips may damage the McCain campaign. All this attention is really sucking the energy out of Palin's political plans and inflating the "image" of Sarah Palin. Although many argue that Palin's experience in running a state is much more like being the President than being in the Senate that fact has been overshadowed in recent months.I truly feel the media has delt Sarah Palin a bad hand and she is making a teriffic effort to come out looking poised and ready to lead. In the long run Biden may just be the most intelligent choice Obama has made in the past four years on the campaign trail.
