I really wish both of the candidates would put more focus on topics that really matter more to the public. Right now our nation is in a pretty big crisis, but all the candidates seem to want to do is focus on their campaigns and winning the election. That is not what our nation needs right now.
The problem with Obama is that he keeps changing his answers to make himself look good to the public. Obama has to keep up his public face and he does so by giving the answer he thinks the public wants to hear.
McCain sort of does the same thing, but he doesn't do a very good job at it. For example, saying that he was not going to come to the debate if the bail out bill did not pass was not a good move on his part. Yes, I understand that he was trying to seem like he cared about the economy, but I really feel like he came across as sort of a jerk for it at the same time.
I was also not very thrilled about Obama jumping into the spotlight by boldly proclaiming he was going still come to the debate even if McCain didn't come.
