I have noticed something interesting on campus for the past week or so. Despite the fact that Ole Miss' campus is overwhelmingly pro-McCain, I have felt an undeniable sense of defeat amongst my peers in regards to the upcoming election. It seems that even though most of the students here feel that McCain is definitely the best candidate for the job, they all seem to have given up on his chance of winning due to Obama's minute lead in the polls. It seems a little bit superficial that everyone would just accept McCain's loss so easily, without seeming to want to put any effort into recruiting more voters. Seems that this school might need a little more Rock the Vote action.
