HELP!

When I arrived home in Mobile this weekend, I was happily greeted by the sign on a BP gas station that proclaimed the new price of regular unleaded gas to be $3.09. While this is still not the price we were happily consuming gas at this time last year, it was like Christmas really had come early this year for me.
The next morning I awoke in good spirits only to be dampened by the news that the stock market had again fallen, this time 500 points. My happy mood from the night before slowly became a somber one due to the reality check from the rising economic crisis.
When will America have a break? When will our economy make its uphill turn it has been being professed to make some time in the near future? I know both Presidential Candidates have ideas and programs that they believe are the best ways to improve our economy and save our country, but what about now? What does our country do now before the transition of Presidents takes place? I know less than a month seems a relatively short amount of time before the elections begin, but taking into account what has occurred in the stock market over the past couple of weeks, less than a month is a long time to wait while our economy is failing.
I know this issue will be the one of utmost concern when the next President is sworn in, and I can't help but pray that whoever it is that is sworn in has the best, available plan for our economic safety so that America can once again raise her head as the most powerful economic force in the world.
