So I am curled up in my chair and I see the trailer for the movie W. directed by Oliver Stone and I wonder, is this what our country needs right now? I am not in any way championing or condemning the movie whatsoever but I wish it wasn't coming out now. In an election year that has been stormy at best I think it is poor timing for this to debut just before we elect a new president. Pro or anti - Bush it is undeniable that there have been major mistakes made and the moral of Americans is bottoming out following suit with the economy. No matter whose fault it is or was it is undeniable that we have a large hole we have to dig ourselves out of, not deeper in. Pointing out that the Titanic was sinking would have been redundant and that's how I think this movie will be. We as Americans need to change course and mindsets and this type of movie sets us one step back. Yes humor is necessary and SNL might be the best comic relief in town, but no need for an entire movie making a mockery of the current president. Lets not forget that in America we elect our leaders. How does that make us look?
