Oh, goodness. You know how this played out. 

And I blame the media! Senator Palin's tongue-in-cheek statement was completely harmless, yet you know how Obama's response was portrayed. Little did the media tell you was that Obama was referring to the McCain campaign's strategy. Maybe Senator Obama meant it as a complete jab to Governor Palin. Maybe not.

Whatever the case may be, it seems as though it's all been over the top. I've got no problem with mild mud-slinging, but when it comes to downright childish shots like this, politicians tend to lose credibility in my mind. Why can't we simply talk politics?
