I have been seeing more and more articles about people asking if the debate is really worth all the money and trouble. It has gotten me thinking if it really is worth it. So far people have been fairly tolerant of the inconveniences the debate preparation has caused. That being said, I think many people are starting to become "debate fatigued" just as our neighbors to the south have become "hurricane fatigued." I think this week many more people will begin to voice their frustration as we begin to see more inconveniences.

Another area of worthiness is the financial aspect of not only the debate, but both candidates' campaign financing. Both Obama and McCain always talk about wasteful spending and how much money we send overseas.....well how about if they stop slinging around hundreds of millions of dollars for a $400,000/year job.
