This weekend was blur for me. Basically a blind mixture of anticipation and suspense that kept me day dreaming of what exactly that mysterious media tent would look like on the inside. I would gamble that every other intern is feeling the same way.
The realization that I, we, are a part of something big...bigger than myself...bigger than the University of Mississippi. THE next president of the United States will be residing here in Oxford, Mississippi, debating on a stage that many students have stood on.
Even better, we have the golden opportunity to work with the professionals, the veritable Donald Trumps of the journalism field. A future job might very well occur for many of us. FOX, MSNBC, CNN...the list goes on and on. Undoubtedly, this is one week that will change our lives and mold our futures. I'm not going to lie. It's tripled that feeling of an unopened present under the Christmas tree.
