As I’m watching Gov. Sarah Palin give her acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, the camera gives a glimpse of a button being worn by someone in the crowd.

“Hottest VP. Coolest State.”

It definitely is a clever slogan, and one that made me laugh. However, I find it a bit ironic because I had just finished reading an article in USA Today that pointed out how Sen. Joe Biden talked about his wife being “drop dead gorgeous” before her education background and calling Palin “good-looking.” The article continued by talking about how former New York Congressman Rick Lazio loss the Senate sit to Hillary Clinton after a few of his actions made female voters recoil.

Is it OK for the Republicans to be able to use her looks to help their campaign? I really think that Biden will have to watch what he says when dealing with things like that, but I hope that the Republicans will not use that route themselves.
