People in the audience laughed. Some even shouted during McCain and Obama's interviews.  The somber atmosphere I had been anticipating was amiss, and the questioning of both candidates didn't have any relevance to the historic happening of 9/11, that I could point out anyhow.  Though the questions were supposed to be dealing with 9/11, there was veer off after the first two that were directed to McCain (Obama and McCain flipped a coin backstage to determine who would go first).  Not to sound negative because there were a few interesting discussions like McCain and his military background.  If you missed the forum like I did, check it out on youtube or veoh.com.  Decide for yourself what really was going on.   

Presidential politics was supposed to be put aside for the candidates to meet together for the first time on stage since their party nominations.  However, it's clear as crystal, that both McCain and Obama were there for more than just a little remembrance.
